Our Care Services
At Gwalia we provide a range of specialist care services. Our service range consists of domiciliary care, supported living, residential, nursing and respite care.
We pride ourselves on providing high quality care services that are tailored to each individual. Developing meaningful relationships with people and their families is central to our approach. This helps us to provide care that is focussed on the things that are important to people.
Between 2014 and 2015 we provided over 4,700 people with care and support.
We provide staff with dedicated learning pathways for their roles, this means they are highly trained and qualified to deliver specialist and person-centred care.
We hold partnerships with local authorities and health boards across south and mid Wales. We are members of Care Forum Wales to share best practice and resources. Alongside this, we work with Welsh Universities and other partners to continuously improve our services based on evidence based research.
We recently launched Llys y Seren which was our first residential care home to be built through our partnership with with Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council to transform older people's services in the county. AMBU also use part of the complex to help patients to get home after being in hospital. Llys y Seren was highly commended in the Care Council for Wales Accolade Awards for Providing Excellent Outcomes in the Care of Older People.
